Product Download Instructions
The VPARS and VTAPE install and update files are available for download from our VM
FTP site. The install files for each release of VM are packed into a single VMARC file.
All VSSI customers have been assigned a userid and password for access to this facility.
You can request your userid and password by sending a request to support@vsoftsys.com.
You will receive email supplying you with VSSI_download_ip, your_VSSI_userid, and
your_VSSI_password required to complete the download procedure.
Download the product files from VSSI:
FTP to ftp.vsoftsys.com
USER: your_VSSI_userid
PASSWORD: your_VSSI_password
BINARY
CD "your_VSSI.userid".193 (NOTE: This is only needed if you are downloading update files)
GET fn.ft
Once you have the VMARC file on your VM system enter the following command to make
sure VMARC can unpack it:
PIPE < fn ft fm | fblock 80 00 | > fn ft fm f 80
If you do not have VMARC available on your system it can be downloaded from the VSSI
FTP site. See the instructions at the bottom of this page.
To install your newly downloaded VMARC file please use any "VPARS and VTAPE Installation
Guide" dated on or after 08/04/2003. See VSSI Documentation.
